Musou Ready For 2023 Charity Gameathon

WHAT’S THIS NOW? We’ve been waiting and now we’re Musou ready to do another charity stream benefitting Child’s Play, a charity that places toys and video games into the hands of hospitalized kids. Last year we raised a grand total of $2,220 so we’re shooting for $2,500 this time around. And we’ll do it by once again taking on the one-versus-one-thousand action featured in the Musou games for twelve consecutive hours. WHAT IS A MUSOU GAME? “Musou” games, known as the “Warriors” series in the West, include the numerous titles in the “Dynasty Warriors” and “Samurai Warriors” series as well as licensed games like “Gundam Dynasty Warriors”, “One Piece Pirate Warriors”, “Hyrule Warriors” and more. WHEN ARE YOU DOING THIS? The stream begins this Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 12 p.m. Central and runs through midnight. That’s right! Twelve hours of intense hack and slash action! We’re pressing square (and sometimes triangle) for charity! WHO IS SUBJECTING THEMSELVES TO THIS? JMac and D from Life Begins at 8-Bit are the brilliant(?) minds behind this whole idea, but they won’t be alone! Expect DestroyAllMachines, Lazersaurus Rex, and Auron1417 to join the fray! WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME? In addition to the warm fuzzies you’ll get by donating to Child’s Play, for every $5 you donate we’ll enter you into a raffle to win one of three Musou games. The three winners will be able to choose from “Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes” or “One Piece Pirate Warriors 4” on the Nintendo Switch and “Samurai Warriors 5” on a platform of the winner’s choosing. Need more incentive? If we hit our fundraising goal of $2,500 we’ll stop playing Musou games and roll right into a Wii bowling tournament. Not a fan of Musou games (philistine!) then you know what to do. ONE MORE THING: For every defeated soldier, Life Begins at 8-Bit is donating one cent up to a maximum contribution of $200. As the battle intensity increases, so will the donations! Can we get 20,000 K.O.s?
