Good Morning, Child’s Play:

On behalf of all of us at Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, I just want to thank you again for your generous investment in our work.

Last year’s gift from Child’s Play has continued to allow our patients and their families to normalize their hospital experience. The use of gaming and technology has a wide variety of applications in our setting including distraction, education and recreation. Having the resources available means that we can help make the hospital more comfortable, more familiar, and more enjoyable. Gaming allows our patients, siblings, parents and visitors to escape from the physical world around them often creating precious moments of social connection.

In 2017, Nemours / Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children was able to use the funds to update computer equipment, purchase new iPad and cases for distraction and teaching, and purchase several systems and multiple games. We continue to be grateful and appreciative of this funding!
